What does sex mean to you?
Is sex just penetration, is sex anything sexual, sensual and/ or everything in between.
Defining this question for yourself can help identify why you may or may not want to have sex with someone and what might be missing in regards to your own sexual intimacy.
Why do you choose to have sex with someone?
For many people, sex is the way they receive love or how they show love. For others it is about pleasure or sharing this intimate experience together. Others it is to create a baby, have fun, have a release. Why do you have sex with someone?
Having sex with someone should never be about doing it for them or feeling like you should. Sexual intimacy must always be free to choose and free to choose what parts of sexual intimacy you would like to take part in.
For some couples, it helps to decide which types of sexual intimacy they are missing, what they would like to try and what is a definite no. This can turn into a type of ‘sex menu’ where you can each come together and share your menus and then choose the ‘meal’ that you would like to enjoy and experience together. Often time couples are surprised at what the other would like and it is not want they have been assuming or sometimes dreading.
So start talking and the playing will follow….. have fun together.
